The Lord Marvel was sold as a top-grade timepiece before the release of Grand Seiko. It was launched in 1958 as Japan's first luxury wristwatch, with an unprecedented price tag, approximately twice that of existing products. This is a hand-wound Lord Marvel, slightly larger than the initial model. Its charm lies in its simplicity, with a thin champagne dial and dauphine hands. There is some age-related deterioration on the dial and hands, but overall it is clean. The plating on the case back is peeling, and the case has minor scratches, but there is no damage that affects its use. The hands turn smoothly. An aftermarket leather strap is attached.
