The Lord Matic series was a popular model from the 1960s to the 1970s, when Japan continued its period of rapid economic growth. At the time, the Lord Matic was extremely popular as a high-end timepiece, second only to Grand Seiko and King Seiko. This is the Ref. 5601-9000. It features a charmingly simple design with a silver dial and dauphine hands. Although there is some age-related deterioration on the crystal and dial, it is generally clean. The case has minor scratches but no significant damage. The hand-setting operation is smooth. An aftermarket leather strap is attached.
